Good good -- you know mortgage interest rates are about as low as they can go but as anticipated when the Fed tax subsidies on home purchases went away earlier this year. So did that boost in the housing market that we temporarily enjoyed. No one can predict when market forces actual market forces will take hold of the homes and and start selling at a healthy pace but we know that employment is a huge player. When Americans feel secure about their jobs again real estate will probably begin moving again. Investors have been gobbling up some of the depressed properties however many of them believe that the market hasn't hit bottom yet so they're waiting. Well it's a fine line to walk whether to buying now when prices are you know could potentially go a bit lower or. Maybe you want even though the weather's great you wanna take in a movie this weekend let's get the latest from David blouse dean ABC news entertainment correspondent and find out what's going on at the movies this weekend good morning it. Good morning Ted. This is this is the time a year women -- were making that transition from summer to fall we still have some options the movie theater coming --

You would think you -- you know it used to be that August was a waste land for bad movie it's. And judging by what's coming out this weekend yeah I would say it. But you know what that's not entirely true which is an opportunity to say that made them well we'll start with takers and and that actually exemplifies nine previous so. Thesis and that is that takers is is this movie where you have a bunch of thieves and in their high class is they only -- big jobs and now. They do it in it out a seemingly impossible sort of way and and if you're familiar with the rapper TI bright guy he is one of the stars of this movie he plays a character named coast. Who just gets out of prison who was part of this crew of high class thieves. And he's kind of jilted he took the fall for them in in a robbery about 45 years ago -- is now -- never said anything. I gets out of prison and approaches -- big day he gets out. With a new job where they could possibly obtain now IE steal 25 to thirty million dollars but none of the guys in the true. Really trust him and possibly with good reason and by the way Matt Dillon is in this movie -- but you wouldn't know it because. Well you would note if you see the advertising because he he barely exists in the advertising which is odd considering. That he is one of the stars of the goofy idea as a huge role but I think. My theory is that he was embarrassed by this part and he should be because he comes across terrible it's like you -- the worst acting job. He's ever done I don't necessarily blame him I think. It's the writing the writing was awful cliche. It was derivative in a bad way you'll have Chris Brown R&B star Chris Brown is in this. And he's just not a very good actor and that's detrimental to this film. Because you need to suspend disbelief and every time I see Chris Brown on the screen he's he's just Chris Brown he's not acting very well and I think about what he did. To Rihanna and that sort of takes you out of the action. I think they really tried too hard in this movie the you know to fit certain plot points in to make it interest thing. The only thing that was kind of interest thing about this movie there are some really good action sequences and to his credit Chris Brown as it is in probably the best action sequence. Where is there is this chase on foot. And Chris Brown in order to prepare for -- he had to practice the art form known as park park war. Where you know you've seen adding commercials and and its outcome about it a few movies over the past few years. Where people -- seem like there blocking or running on walls and they're jumping over fences and leaping over cars. That was kind of cool but you know it's certainly not worth -- eight to twelve dollars you're gonna -- not I'm seeing a movie and not. 150 dollars you're gonna spend on a small popcorn it's not supposed to. To see this movie so in other words I did not like it. What about tell -- what are some of our other options this weekend. You also the last actor says -- it which is a harder movie and you don't watch. Unlike takers this movie is executed really well I mean you get the desired effect. People like these movies they like to go to the theater to be scared -- media have -- be scared to tether with a bunch of other people. And this movie does it really well it's about a preacher in cotton markets who really doesn't believe in god anymore. But he conducts acts -- citizens the answer seasons are phony. And now as a documentary crew that he is showing. How he performs his phony excuses and and he takes them to this farm. Where they believe their daughter Nell is disaster and you know he doesn't he doesn't really believe that she's disaster he thinks he's going there to do a fake excuses him. Little does he know that now is indeed possessed and you get some really good moments in this movie. I didn't like the ending that much but yeah I'm willing to forgive the mediocre Andy because the rest of the -- so good three and a half out of five stars. Other some movies -- kind of generating -- of mountain might still be viable by Labor Day weekend next week. -- other you know there are some good movies out there he does something else that's interesting that's going on this weekend is. They re releasing avatar out avatars gonna be in theaters this weekend around if you have Logan an IMAX. It will probably be at your IMAX this weekend and that is because. When avatar left theaters it least you it was still doing really well and that we still selling out. Performances and they had to they had to leave because theater owners were obligated to this other little movie called. Alice in wonderland and so because Alice in wonderland -- literally bumped avatar added theaters because nobody knew avatar -- gonna do. As well as it did so they couldn't possibly know when they scheduled. Alice in wonderland that they would still be selling it shows of avatars show. Avatars. Ability to attract an audience is giving James Cameron and fox. Licensed to re release avatar and even added nine new minutes and -- I mean I'm a huge fan of that movie I've actually seen it three times. And if I can and I have time I will probably see it again and it's limited re released. Our interest of course the Emmys on Sunday to cap off the weekend. That is a very big deal yes well you know it that's also debatable because to be seen over the past few years that the and the audience has -- really. Dwindled to the point where it's pretty pathetic for an award you know. Both the way you describe it didn't it almost reminds me of the Vegas strip I mean there's a strip of New Orleans that is great but there's obviously some areas that are going to need help for many years to come.

And you know problems with -- electricity what if it very much so we've used that -- you know round April areas of.

Alex what's that what's the feeling from administrators of local people about what still needs to be done what is still urgent even five years later.

Well they've built levees are a big part of it and that the Army Corps of Engineers is right now. Working on getting those levees built we went out one of these major Levy projects with the army or this week and now looks like they're building skyscrapers that they've moved the water to decide they've diverted. Well I think a little bit of both but this -- and there are a lot of hope here that people who. While this city -- they love it with there'll art it is about jambalaya gumbo and new Portland.
