Welcome back to the red -- show.

They were getting feedback that makes you pretty much impossible to keep our minds focused and concentrate so we'll get back to. Just the fact that it's at a very weird feeling and and certainly kind of an empty feeling to be home on this particular weekend at the College Baseball season. Yes this is a week we're not used to -- in which Thomas we hosted tournament so. It it's an empty feeling hits a week we normally don't have I didn't know what to do it myself five intended games to go cease I have -- ballpark sets might therapy is always looking -- next year. I took several for the seniors and don't have that luxury so now we're just hanging around waiting for the draft which starts on Monday. And I am watching scores even as painful as that may be -- try to stay on top of who's playing and who's winning and and that's no fun trust mad do you have some friends that are coaching and different schools I guess I have somebody to pull four minutes of painful situation.

And we might mention two dead ends at the last score we had was Illinois State and Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt most people's minds a big favorite going into that game 77 in the thirteenth. The last score that to a head and if you had just pull up a final Vanderbilt 18 to seven in thirteen minutes. So good showing. For Illinois State that not quite a win in their opening game of the tournament. Let's let's talk a little bit about you know we've I think we've talked at length about the process and and it's probably not much that we're gonna do about it but. That certainly. I know in your mind all of our minds down the stretch this to become not only -- regional caliber team that a team that certainly could have gone somewhere in -- regional issues rats.

Restraining and and I as very adamant on the show week ago. When we did it on the day off before plan in the final game that if we did not win the next day we were very deserving of an at large team. That hasn't changed I feel the same way I don't know fog yeah it is spirited is. As I maybe have been in the past. There was a huge staying the next day of not playing well not pitch for a while and and to you know we lost the game. And a fashion that we it's totally was unexpected I tip my hat Illinois State -- great game. But in how we do we talked about many times a -- is twelve and two on our last fourteen games and I think like nineteen and five. We had a healthy Charlie lol so we can grow grow lot of rotation of Jordon Cooper Tim Kelly and Charlie my -- that would be as good as anybody in the country. And those guys at all built their stamina up for shirt Cooper and Kelly to give yet. 120 pitches low going to be up to that 9095. Probably. So we felt good about not only -- and that of our chances of doing well. And you know that was shared with the committee I don't know how much they listen to that I don't know how much they look at how your plane at the time. Maybe not a lot because a lot of teams that were really struggling last month guiding and and an RPI is almost like -- Casper on here. Because it's it's frustrating because. Any and I don't want get too deep into it because. The best thing you needed -- take care business on the field not that your situation in the hands as someone else you just need to win. When you see other people are winning and are struggling and have for a month. And they still get rewarded it's a situation that really irritates it in the RPI in jeans talked about this many times I know you have I have. It's a situation -- the southern teams are gonna be an advantage in its its just ideas. And I don't know how much they look at RPI that obviously pretty hard because there's teams are very mediocre win loss records. That are playing well that they have a -- RPI. They got in the term.

That that to me is the single most disappointing thing because that DR PI is is in equitable to start with this. Because actually the way it's set up it just it gives teams an opportunity and an excuse not to play teams like a Wichita State they have their own insular little deal in their conference and they beat up on each other and that all works to their advantage. And unfortunately it seems like. And in baseball as we talked it's much more unfair than even say basketball because she of the elements of the weather and then things we've talked about for years. But unfortunately from these selection it seems like they're looking at the RPI more and more than they ever have. That being the case I'm an -- hypothetical question here and before I even do let's say this. That this was an unlucky year from the standpoint and make it talk about Charlie Lowell being out there just in your scheduling. You schedule long beach state every year normally there the top 5060 team they had a down year. You lose northern Iowa -- you're able to pick up San Jose state late that's a club that's normally a forty win type team that would have sculpture RPI they have a real down year for them and actually hurt you to play them in the RPI. And then even in your own conference not everybody's schedules real well outside the conference but a couple that do schedule well -- in Missouri State had down years and so. It was just like everything that could go wrong plus snowed out with Washington State in case you. Everything that could go wrong as far as helping your RPI certainly did this year.

And that's exactly right because when you schedule it's two or three years out we're finished with 2011. I pretty much have a plan for 2012. Who were plan. So when you schedule long beach state you certainly think they're going to be a top thirty or forty RPI no brainer. Which is scheduled San Jose state it as you mentioned they're normally a top 5060 RPI. The other when you didn't mention Oklahoma State normally they're top thirty RPI they were like I think in the eighties we lost two game with K you either get RPI team. Oral Roberts is normally a great RPI team they were in the hundreds -- believe. They did it in the tournament by one in the -- some only. But a lot of factors she mentioned Washington State losing two games to whether there. It's a situation where those things artists and also mentioned within our league in Missouri State's normally top sixty or seventy RPI as his -- they were in the hundreds. So you'd throw that all into the equation and it hurt us. Because if that the teams that we're talking about her normally where they are were probably at least in the forties maybe in the thirties and we get in the tournament slammed down no brainer by doing exactly what we did. There -- PI wasn't. Now you pointed out last Friday on the show that and I wasn't where this I think he said we were like twelve or thirteen and eight. Against top hundred RBIs when I started looking at that I started bearing down on the numbers and -- you did some research -- on -- its resurgent. And and Sunday was a miserable day for me because I live on all the sites trying to see upsets in. RPI is and how we -- against other top hundred RBIs but when I saw that -- you know what we have a pretty good chance. And so when we went in the Monday Yemen is it that's at thirty miserable minutes when you're sitting there as a bubble team looking to see if you're in or not. And you can point to every scenario and and with certain teams -- their when their name pops up and you knew that was on the teams you're competing went like Louisiana Lafayette popped in there. There were a couple others North Carolina course they were right the last school we were. The last regional what went up was Oklahoma the second to last was -- it almost has to places we thought we had the best chance to go on. So it's just strung out their right till the very end. And no we didn't get it so it's an empty feeling. And Ozzie can do is is looked the next year and that's what we've done -- on the recruiting trails ready to roll for next year and here's my question.

And over the years you have built this program to a point where you have achieved enough respect that. Your scheduling policy has become dead if somebody is not going to return games in combat can play you hear then you don't schedule them. Because I I think most fans know that some of the a least of College Baseball will will play you but only if he'll just come there. Now having said that you guys have never been afraid to go play somebody somewhere else and beat them on their own field. -- Where you don't have any guarantee of return that gives you some games with perennial top ten top twenty type teams to enhance European.

Well we're still a position where were able to get good teams on home and home basis I think we're cheap and our fans have we give away games so to speak. Say we go play at Texas a three game series and they won't come back. First of all that we have to go down their early in the year when they're ahead of us even with our new indoor facility there are still ahead of us have pitched in a difficult position. And then for them not to come back. Is some -- we don't wanna do frankly. And it's -- if we go to determine that would be better because you get some neutral site games may be. But still that's given away games we'd go to turn amount we always there require whoever hosts it. To come back we've done that -- sport and we've done that Southern California we've done that Louisiana Lafayette Dallas Baptist. So EUS when you have facility like we do and and -- people want to come watch you play you need a certain amount home games. And we're still able to attract good people like we said long beach state was down Arizona -- in pretty good they're coming back next year for two. We go to organ next year they will come back the following year. The only place that won't go and not require a return as Hawaii and we are going their next year and they are in the NCAA tournament. But the reason we don't require them to come back as those games don't count against your -- their freebies so to speak. So let's Hawaii is an advantage they can get should come over there without a return but they don't count against your limit so it doesn't. Heard our number of home games because those first 3-D games -- so to speak out when it comes to your that you're 56 game -- thanks.

Welcome back to -- can't show our final break on that show of the season and Schumacher's of course wrapping up their year at 41 and nineteen in the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. And not going to regional this year unfortunately. Let you know we talked about. The system and the of the process and so forth. Obviously the the other part of the equation and you guys have we have readily admitted that talked about it earlier -- was that there were some games that you probably should've won that. That certainly would have enhanced your position for an at large and and particularly some weekend series where -- dominated team for a couple of games and then let the third game. Get away and it just wondered if if you thought in if it's. If having this happen and and unfortunately it's a tough way to learn the lesson. It'll be good for your returning guys to realize that there just aren't any days off especially if you're Wichita State you've got a -- finish those series. Keep that effort consistent all year long to have to put yourself in a better position.

Yeah I don't think there's any question in the -- it's painful -- seniors when my get a chance to redeem then and I am not saying it's their fault that we lost those sunny games. But I remember a couple times the San Jose state the southern Illinois. A series or -- we'd want pretty easily. Not -- easily but we'd won the first two days and we feel pretty good going in the Sunday game and we just basically. Didn't play with the same kind of intensity Missouri State's the other want those are games if you go and sweep them that's a swing at three game set in and that's TH. And unfortunately when you don't in the tournament and end Ers say we'd lost the league title or whatever. Those of the games you look at and there are very painful belt what you've got to do it you've got to get your mindset. Ready to come ready to play every day. Because. Or when you're a bubble team -- right on the fringe. A game here game there. It's a difference if you get man or not hidden hand and when you look at it that the team that you clearly should be were at home. You you can't do that because in baseball there so much you know we use that term parity all to all the time. That when you play somebody in baseball if you don't come locked in ready to play every day anybody can beat you only say that. And and I think the players -- get to some degree. But I think they think okay yeah I hear you this is coach speak you know yeah I bic camera to play every day or anybody can be -- that's very true. And you see it all the time you see in the big lakes you see inferior teams beaten teams is they they definitely should not be. But but they do because that happens over series and however many games. But you can change that a lot of times I think in pro ball it's almost like. The one team gives the other team the third yanks our I'm gonna sweep them and and I say that obviously tongue in cheek but it almost seems that way. And College Baseball anymore you can see the same thing a lot you'll see a top twenty team. There won't get beat by -- the bottom teams in the league the third game. But you gotta have more killer instinct if you're which us today. And you're edited disadvantage because of the whole RPI think you can't give away those games you've got to take your business you've got to be set -- 41 in nineteen. You've got to be 46 and fifteen. Or get up close to fifty where they absolutely can not deny you giving him even if you're RP IC a so so. So that is the lesson that we need to learn we have another tough schedule. The next year you know I mention organ I mentioned Hawaii will also go to -- line for three game series they'll come back the next year. Mention Arizona's -- and will play our normal big twelve it's a bit it's a very challenging to schedule again. But you -- just come right to play every day or you're gonna wear it in England we're -- right now. This next question I mean we've we've talked about.

Pitching all year in the fact that it it hasn't always been as consistent as -- used to sometimes. I think -- the number I should know the exact but either eight or nine times this year he gave up ten or more runs in it in a game. And that's not an exorbitant number and a sixteen game schedule even for good pitching staffs that in some of those years where you've had maybe that number it's been -- or maybe eleven on a few nights. It's been a stranger in terms of game at 19181714. In your mind is it is that in the strangest aspect of just those aberration night's four or five times that of the season -- gave up. And unseemly a matter runs on that one game.

And those are painful for me. Just absolutely painful. But that that's what happened this year for whatever reason it seemed like when the wheels came off they came they came off in every phase of the game. And we had some of the those blowout losses. And in some cases they came out of nowhere it's so it's like how did the final game against Illinois State seventeen. Eight would Jordon Cooper on the map. How does that happen. And Illinois State -- we were up there we beat them nine enough and on a Friday. They came back the next day envious eighteen a and then the next day we did what was a five to one. -- site oh where'd that come from and is -- coach sheet you try to do the same things is forest consistency. Come locked in and ready to -- you try to do the same things all the time because I'm I got it never gets comfortable. I think if you get too proud that's when it blows up on you -- that on the leash too proud guy and -- Then on into cocky and start to feel too good it's gonna blow up on me on the anti that guy. Because I'm like always nervous and try to get to air again or two office you're gonna wear it. So there were some of those games came from whispering just blew my mind I mean say you go play at an Arizona State. Where you go play at a team assist. The Dallas -- that we had three great games against if we'd had one of those against the -- say with the wind blown out 29 miles an hour like it did one day. The game we want to -- than we give up fifteen that they like you know that was painful but they can hit. Everything in -- air was blown out. You'd understand it in some cases it happen against teams. And I don't want -- disrespect anybody biggest teams that are like where does that count for. And like you said when -- got badly.

They got really. Now having now won their first because I want people to realize just how spoiled we all are around here. That left the team will -- season ERA of four point 45 that seems unusually high for Wichita State infected. 47 straight years prior to last year the -- was always under for that four point 45 ERA ranks 35. In the nation the worst single pitching statistic for Wichita State among the important stats ranked 68. Nation that's in walks allowed per nine innings checkers or 64 in strikeouts per nine innings and forty ninth. -- hits allowed per nine innings those two stats that that people would kill for and yet I know that you feel this was not a good season overall for the.

Pitching instead now I it was not at all and I'm I am glad you pointed that out because 35 in the country that pitch in -- top ten or 15%. But it was painful for me and I made it very clear that -- I felt like I was drug behind it truck most of this year. If you can't go into this season and I'll go there again with a pitch to step next year our goals to -- investment country. We wanna be the best -- step in the country we wanna be the deepest pitching staff in the country if you're gonna make statements like that you've got to pitch better than we pitch this year. So even though top 35. A lot of people would kill -- I love Travis why cop because he came in and kind of got my back on the stats he said are you kidding me everybody's wine and that's that most people -- Killen for that and I appreciate that. But if you're gonna make statements like I make like we just a best pitch and school in the country and we're gonna do the best job developing new and we wanna have the best after you gotta be better and and I get that. And I am by no stretch of the imagination. In my rationalizing it out and -- still top 35 now we gotta be better than that for which does stay. And where the Wichita State pitching. That was there when we don't know living Herman said we're gonna do the best job in America of developing years of pitcher our expectations are for you to be the best. We gotta be better than -- in it was painful for me I will say this we talked about it a week -- on the show. The last month it was pretty good. We pitched the way we like to pitch I'd say our ERA and you probably know better than I do. The last twenty games or so it probably would have been mid threes maybe low three's. Actually the last sixteen games before the championship game of the valley tournament it was more like 2627. Weeks actually so we pitched. The way that I expect for us to pitch and that's why the Saturday game just blew my mind it's like where did this come from. Now Jordon Cooper we went to and I we're set now we can go today were sent there were born in the final game against Illinois State. Jordon Cooper it's shot Illinois State out his previous three times. -- had a string of terror many thirty inning scoreless this year one point. And he came out any clearly early in the game on the three days' rest which is an abusive. Some don't feel bad that was obviously. That it was early early on it was obvious to me he would not have as its stuff and I was so proud of the way handled that he did not use that as an excuse he set I felt like I always felt. I just it didn't turn out the way I wanted to turn out. So we handled it with class but is his pitching coach I've got to defend him and say you know -- that together didn't make an excuse that's together warts so to speak. But he won quite as sharply -- had a little zip right at the end of stressful occupy it again kind of lost him out of in time. But he didn't have that little operated -- slighted and have the same kind of bite he did not have the same kind of command and baseball. You know it's not like instead given up two runs you give up three. If you're not quite as sharp you give up 6789. And then dominos and other team gets confidence in the and then look at and that's kind of what happened that. That's the only thing I can point to eat and what does get on three days' rest because that was took him out of a normal routine. But who would have been said this the whole Saturday -- a nightmare that's kind of thing you'll you wake up in the -- night you're like you go any say okay you're not gonna believe -- registering this nightmare. What was reality and that's that's painful where.

Welcome back to -- damaged -- we get a letter to our Applebee's trivia question we're looking for how many times. Over the last thirty years beginning with their first trip in 1980. That's a shocker is have been. In a regional and Harlan is our first caller we'll see of Arlington knock it out of the park on the first trial Ireland. 27 is correct absolutely. Our congratulations stay on the line and Andrew handling is our producer tonight by the way you'll get your contact information so we can get your prize thank you. -- three times. In thirty years that we have not been -- regionals you understand never do we take it for granted that there's something that you do -- kind of expected the end of the season yes and we mentioned at the top of the show that it's an empty feeling that we're in right now. Because this is a week that we're not used to hanging out and doing whatever and my my therapy was to go to games which. In I don't know -- accomplished and expect to hit. I did get -- games because of I had to set around and the gets my -- I love my family tactic took my girls with me on a couple of so I got to do the family thing to. But it's it it's an empty feeling in certain in the more on the so that drives a little bit. I we are. We have a regular feature that I own corn -- it's coming up CIA wants to handle this it's called the pitcher of the week and it's sponsored by realty Kelly cabinets of JPY again and -- since we did our -- show. There has just been the one games a valley championship game so there's a pitcher of the week I think there's probably one obvious choice. But if you want to expand from that in to maybe talking a little bit about may be. You know a couple of guys Jordon Cooper you know beyond Jordan -- so obvious that you were really pleased with this year we can expanded today -- the pitcher of the week is sponsored by Kelly cabinets of JPY again and sends realtor is just like an ace reliever getting a save for the shocker is. Kelly -- that specializes in forming winning relationships the first time. And seasoned buyers and sellers. -- is committed to making your move as pleasant as possible through honest communication education and lots of hard work. -- Kelly's knowledge experience integrity and attention to detail -- to keep your move. Kelly Kim that's dot net of course that's twelve months here not just during baseball's.

Yes that's a good time to buy actually. It's you and start talking about spring and summer people or Alec and for homes that actually get time to do that. The first of all pitcher of the week we only had the one game so it was obvious choice TJ McGrady. I threw three innings gave up no runs. And -- you know we talked about him on the show the last true three weeks we switching to from a curve ball to the slider which is a lot tighter pitch for him it's a lot better breaking ball. And I think he gave him confidence. Because when he had his big loopy break in volume throws some good was just enough let's say okay you've shown me the one you need. Because and repeated it in there wasn't enough byte with it. And good hitters were laying off of -- hit that good when he would make a mistake with a so we want tomorrow a slider which again -- gave him actually and how this in another strike pitch. So his last two or three weeks I study looked much better. And that was the one. -- point if you wanna call -- that. He did finish that game with three innings he gave up no earned rants and really threw well also it's gotta be TTJ McGrady. As far as pitcher of the year or highlights like you mentioned you know do I wanna go to. The pitcher the year in my mind it's gotta be Jordon Cooper. He was honored yesterday but my collegiate baseball's at third team all American so that's our nineteenth pitcher over the years it's been all American. -- calling yesterday and totally mess -- okay now I've got Iran out of picture you know you could mean a word he and I and I said but. I don't hang pictures up of of all Americans and -- finished -- eligibility because that's the kiss of death and I said I don't wanna hang your picture up for another year at this that I get and I get it. And that's all mother deal the draft and we may be touch on that a little bit. But. He would be pitcher of the year and a and then a close second. A guy that finished really strong. Was Tim Kelly you know Tim ran into some ups and downs throughout the course of the season but just -- the blue collar during that time -- McAvoy and in games. And end up being our leader in wins with eleven. And I had an ERA under four. Intimate theater that's gonna get a little -- interest as far as all Americans with the.

And have. You know you mentioned TJ McGreevey switching to the slider in and this might be good time to ask this question off of that. Is you've been having meetings I know with the with players and as the season has wrapped up the first couple of days this week before they get up to summer ball. And has that been may be have a topic of conversation a lot of guys of of one of the most important things this summer and on into the fall. To continue to work on a particular pitch in each case they can be a swing and miss type pitch for for most of your guys.

Yes we have meeting since the end of fall were aware where I sit -- my -- say okay here's where you stack up. Here's what you do well here's what you gotta work on. And we do that -- after fall baseball and then we do it again after. The spring when their hand out end of it that this summer ball. You let -- know things that they need to work on you let them know that things that you really happy with the things you're not happy with. And that is what I'll do with each guy I'll say okay here's here's some things you need to go out and improve on. And Jordan Cooper was one on you know a lot of people like okay this is a finished product. That speed is good as he can be. -- laughed when I ten men meeting with George message Jordan you just finished physics but I do not teach calculus if you read there's some things we can we can still do you change it's a little hard. When -- two or three miles an hour offer this to make a perfect. You're slider your show are really short tight one. But we can get another one that's a little bit more of an off speed pitch by -- and a little bit kind of like you do on a fastball change that situation or we can go to curve ball where you would have four pitches. So I said there's still some things that we can refine there. There's no one is going not a little -- you know -- in KG -- coming back in and he's such a great kid he's got a -- that I -- and I understand. That's. There's very few guys at this level. In -- probably as close maybe attempt Kelly. That are that are like okay how you gonna get a better but I always believe when you're 20/20 122 years old there's always things to learn. And I think we're gonna do a better job of them. Develop and guys and continue to get them to improve. Then anybody in -- and that sounds arrogant that you gotta feel that way feel like we're gonna do a better job development guys in the lower minor leagues. Maybe even at the big league level I mean I I don't disrespect coaches that are at that level. But I just think we can do a lot of things to continue to make them improve and that's one thinks like you said that we do covering meetings.

I you're listening to -- candidates this is the final Brent -- it showed we will go ahead and take our last commercial timeout. So that we have a chance for our final feature and also to kind of talk about going on into the summer and next year with a -- pitching staffs -- stay with us we'll be -- back.

Dot com. Get a tip of the weakness of first time and -- one -- from last year I got used on new ones this year. From the previous years the but I felt like this one was pertinent because it's important minutes positive energy. Right now however all the shocker -- are really down I'm down to east county -- down everybody's down because we should be planner or wanted to be playing. But you've got to have positive energy what you gotta do in this is it was a message I had with the pitching staff in and individually with them. Is it's painful. But the the the pain it thinks can make you better 41 in nineteen it's nothing to be embarrassed about we did win the regular season even though was a tie we won the tiebreaker. We we still had a good season now don't want people to think that okay that's our new norm now we still. Wanna get to regionals are -- you're still gonna be the same to get to Omaha mall. And we missed out on a regional for the first time since 2001. That you can't wallow in negativity. You have got to get over. You have got to learn from it and I'm big on man I'm big on learn from what went wrong learn from mistakes. And must work up Los Angeles figure out what we can do to get better. Let's get better and that and don't that's part of the therapy amino acid gonna games and jump right in the next you're not done that forever that helps me get over. But it's it's it's all about. Did get over negativity. I can't stand to be around negative people I can't stand to be around half -- glass half empty people. I love people. That. Have some balance had to have a smile on the face somebody that -- like using gauging and are fun to be Iran they have some charisma. And as coaches you've got to be that way and you've got to teach at duke players were leaders of young guys there at a very critical stage in their life. And this was tough for them. For the seniors or who I feel bad for because a couple of may keep plan. But a lot emirate in the road as far as playing baseball so they're going out into the real world so it does so to speak. You have got to be able teach him so much more than baseball you've got to teach them like you know why -- That was painful but that was a great experience I learned this this and this from that. And I told people many times if you're out. And -- A position to hire people. A lot of times athletes are great hires because they've had to deal with pressure. They had to deal with performing in front of thousands of people and there's pressure when -- Wichita State you're in a big spotlight a lot of us a lot and athletes don't like to. And would recruit guys we talent don't come to Wichita State if you don't like pressure because that's not fun for a lot of people a lot of guys thrive on it and they excel whether it. And those are also the guys when you get out and the job market that -- prisons freaked out when there's -- that deadline. When there's competition to get into account there's of people that are gonna get better because of that and we have a lot of young guys. They're gonna be in that mode and you just want them to be able to handle that. And and and in learn from an experience like that. And go up and in -- Sweden and succeed in the real world which is is not what were in really. College Baseball it's it's it's our real world a big way. But there's so many bigger things in life but the lesson that they need to learn as you gotta get over you got to move on learn from it and have positive energy. He had two dead and another one of years tips that -- views in the passes teaching tool or through working with somebody is positive negative positive and he talked about the way you finished over the last month. Does it make a little easier that you have some positive things that are fairly recent in their memory that you can build off Lebanon say okay but you've still got to get better at this -- you can't get back to where you were before this -- yes and I have pointed those things out and our meetings the last. You know month of the season hey were pitch in the way which -- state pitches now we've had a couple aberrations unfortunate that an aberration the last game of the season. But as a whole last month we pitched the way which to -- states used to pitching. We gotta work off that that's what we expect nobody's over achieving everybody has a role everybody needs to contribute. And you mentioned positive negative positive. There's a way to present things to people if you that negative spirit that's always bring in people down that's gonna be contagious. To your players there and they're gonna lose confidence in and frankly they're gonna like quit enjoying the game and the minute they do that you're in trouble. Yeah you see teams that over the course of the season. Kind of go on the tank. And in my mind those of the teams that wallow in negative energy but the teams get better in the teams that are playing well piano we were one of them. Forcefully not the last day. And end in pitched great the last month minus last -- I think those are guys that learn from mistakes. And you've got to stay upbeat within the last say that that doesn't mean I don't get all over. If somebody else gets all remark right fight that person that when I get all all over my no on a circle back and work their brain. And a lot of times I'll get on again the next LC OK do you think I was too hard on. 99.9. Percent of the time saying no way. You gave me exactly what I needed -- probably needed more and when you get guys that are very driven and most guys account which costs state they know they expectation. Then they they thrive on that. And they want you to to give them what they need as opposed to just give them a big hug and tell them everything's okay that doesn't make you better. You know -- one of the things that is just so. Just unique to College Baseball and its biggest headache you have to deal with this time a year is obviously the draft how do you feel generally speaking about.

Has the draft may affect tradition well. You know it's what was your three years ago we -- recruiting class got wiped out because we had to first for honors and a third or fourth rounder and there's been years were just wiped us out two years ago wiped us out. I sit here today. I don't think it's going to be here like -- everybody knows shortened -- the big focal point on our our guys in the program. We do have two or three of our sign needs that are getting a lot of attention. Who was have to see. The joke always -- me is that longer -- the less I know about the draft as you can really get surprised she can give blind sided. And good or bad hand until it unfolds you really just don't now so we'll just have to see next week. Potentially speaking. You're gonna have a lot of guys that -- work with that. That you know you're excited about their potential and and obviously that the future continues to be bright for shocker baseball. Well no question now when you look at the offensive side of things Johnny -- it was really exciting the way he blossomed this year and he's got a huge upside although he is draft eligible I think he's a ways away from that. That. He's got better defensively over the course of the year. He's going to be a threat at the place got big time potential from our standpoint. Preston spring is another guy that could be drafted that we think can really improved his status by comin' back. And I can go on and on -- Harvick was heard at the end of probably heard a sound -- he's an exciting player Tyler Grimes. Chris O'Brien will be back behind the plate he has a -- great job and when the pitchers Micah green to gather we haven't really talked about that now though that Richard it. So he's going to be -- gather will be a force and I know it's about time for the show to be over so real quickly let me thank the sponsors we had a lot of great people that are sponsored the show for years. Without you guys I'm not able to have -- our therapy session with -- Kennedy signed need to be pain you guys instead you plan to do the show. But thank you guys so much for allowing us to do this. So it's a fun show to do I appreciate -- cooperation really has been therapy for us at times and in particular on this particular occasion in the season thanks to all of you fierce loyalty and supporting shocker baseball and the show. And will be back with a -- break him to show next spring.

It's.
