Start with will -- as a guy who came here is a junior college transfer last year to your starter who. It turned out they thought they were getting a guy who played second base and actually had always been captured and so the the experiment was a little bit rough but guy who has picked it up both seasons now at the end of the year exactly right he's saying is best for last you. Could be. Argued that he has been a disappointment. But. You know looking at the numbers that he had.

That's all parts he's played him was it is of college and inflated. It was so far there are a lot of inflated numbers from western Oklahoma junior college but he has turned out to be confident player -- he's gotten better defensively. As the season. It's gone and because unbelievable streak going offensively he's really become viable target this team that's tough work Brett.

Basket. A local product from your green who has a fifth year senior and a guy who's really put in his time in the program. Last year became a full time guy because of injuries and had his ups and downs this year started years strictly as a platoon player. -- played so well he's given himself a chance over the last month to play every day and has continued to just be a revelation.

I think you've got like -- you should be. Invited back every single year and make a speech to the team because he's seen at all in his five years here Wichita State the good times bad times. He being a part time player being a full time player. And he's got it out nicely and this year the news I about save and that's the last he's an incredible year on -- backing you want to hear the end because the way he's playing but.

Go to the hard knocks but -- on the roads before it's careers over -- that you really appreciate his senior year more than.

And he is a perfect example of the guy who. If you hang in there you're going we talked about -- you're going to get chances in this program that's what you do looked up and and he has. Sat there without complaining and look for his opportunities and tried to learn as he's gone and then on the opportunities that present themselves this year he's been -- it's hard to stay sharp when news. Proceed that there's no light into the tunnel facility particularly in twelve games grow up playing. The body language starts to snag a little bit their work -- panic goes out they they start to think that accurately -- you know. It happens year after year after year and that's part of the reason why rep would be invited this program come back in and talk to the guys certainly the guys that -- Frontline players that -- in -- Attributing them why during the course of the championship -- run. The next player is kind of unique in the history of this program there have been very few one year senior transparency apparently that I hope Travis that -- was -- especially young man it was in the program in the valley where the coaching staff had seen in the northern Iowa. As it turned out he'd always wanted to play at Wichita State and he's just been a really good fit not only as a player but just his personality is blended well this team made it shocker recently that perception that if you're a player somewhere else you. Not necessarily the caliber of Wichita State standards and and when he came in I think a lot of people thought maybe just yet it apart and be okay or even though he had good numbers northern Iowa. You know the fact that this is looking to us they were northern Iowa Woodson -- apartment that's -- that's not the case the you can really get. Annie's gonna model teammate citizen -- very proud vehemently he's on about his business. You don't often wanna have you don't want your player. But a guy like trapped them breaks all. Tyler Fleming another guy who we've talked about a lot this year he came in as a junior college transfer two years ago was tremendous out of the bullpen then began to have probably. In his arm light years nobody really good at the time the good pitch by -- the end of the season missed all of last year. Has tried to come back in just wasn't the same guy wasn't he wasn't healthy as -- not the same. And so what he did he wants to figure out a way he could help the team so it decides to drop down from the side and he may -- end up being big contributor in the policies there's a lot of players that they'll do whatever it takes. Play and help the team win but. Really what you really do something like that livings doing right now. He epitomizes what you want as a shocker pitchers at the -- is. Fierce competitor. Looks to pitch. Love to be out it'll only answer I think sometimes we -- forget that that in LA county planning and ordinary high today. Record -- his arm started bother so. He paid the ultimate price. Of doing everything in beyond about the few more time at all about winning even when he couldn't plight he was around when he -- forty security was -- Ground ball -- going ground balls during batting practice last year just to do something just to be part of that and to make a contribution and anyway and I know we have gotten to him yet but he's much like slogan hope he they're both. Like quite a bit at times last year -- Packers look for answers and although his playing time -- still another guys has been a good part of the team not good got to be around -- very supportive of his -- very very bright intelligent. Very cerebral guy you know he's. -- Lastly is pretty close friend Clinton the couple seniors but they'll offer him in the locker bounce stuff off one another day you don't necessarily happen you know 150 that here it is perhaps acknowledgment and it. I think it would feel -- it well now -- You've mentioned Kobe guy -- asserted the flip side of plumbing and hockey came in last year and pitched very little had a couple of different injuries had a couple of good outings toward the end of the year. He had actually been recruited originally as a -- could be a bit week's starter but because of the injuries and all sorts of things these ended up being a relief guy and has really come on at the end of his senior year to be guys that they can count on a little bit out of the bullpen -- outside and getting it you Coke guy he's not exactly what you think he's going to be if you don't have time to cultivate something else turn into something else and they do is strictly went to uncle guy out well then. It's worked out more times than not and it's been nice to see him finally healthy. He's back in that open and will be until seasonal. Logan hope another guy who we talked about a little bit who has great. Two years ago down the stretch that hurt all of last year and after getting off to a slow start this season kind of getting the feel of pitching in game situations again has suddenly. Really become that guy they were looking -- stopper at the end of the -- and remember how far away he was -- is now meaning he was light years away if you guys because it comfortably in is breaking golfer's right. And courses and -- whole team all through turmoil and nobody on my right and it just goes to show you baseball to line up. -- Doing right today. Trying to improve all the time and they'll -- the head down. Don't ever think that you there later this season as a way oh. He's. Any particular game. If everybody's stress that all things being equal he's the first guy out to go to guy -- and they'll have stuff and think what.

Brian Johns. Irrepressible guy that grew up in Wichita dreamed of playing for the shocker is his whole life is living the dream he's been a starter for three years and Andy's been kind of an admitted that because at times he's got his own worst enemy that a talented guy who. Even money has struggled at the -- is played great defense in the outfield as dangerous as a base runner and certainly love shocker baseball and and wants like everything to finish off his career whether a positive end of the season.

Well he's a perfect example of numbers aren't everything he's beloved by the -- his teammates the coaching staff that. He's always trying to do the right thing it doesn't always you know judging by the batting average but -- that's the guy wearing a lot and a lot of cases you can throw the numbers out the window it seems like. He gets big hits when he's in a predictable RBI situation normally comes through and he has never ever ever let his office.

At city place he just another long line of doctor outfield that could really -- get it one better throwing arm we've seen in the last five. At the next scene here is another local guy put a little different. -- in terms of comparing him to Ryan Jones Ryan Jones who has highly recruited coming out of high school coating -- was more of the guys it was just good all around athletes who play a few positions. And figure could be maybe a decent utility guy and he has just worked and worked and gotten better and better and I think. If you excluded. The pitchers say Jordon Cooper from consideration I think he probably does team's MVP this year you know first -- when you're still doing moves like that type of the notes that you're thinking to myself in the first line -- Cody Lafley is self made player. LE a lifetime to 57. Hitter and look at it this year 370. That's this. A cornerstone guy and -- typical Wichita State throwback guy you know late eighties early ninety's the World Series. Scenes. Guys like him. That weren't necessarily five star recruits and everybody's all American and everybody this and that. He's from the time he got here until the time he leaves here a -- couple weeks whenever they need. I'll just turned himself into a shocker baseball player it's really been a joy to watch him swing the --

Clinton McKiver obviously had won the big moments in shocker history of his Grand Slam and Oklahoma State two years ago and it puts to shop restore the super regional. He's had a very solid career here after being a guy that Oklahoma State where it always dreamed of going didn't want -- involved there try to walk on they weren't interested in him. And he has carved out a nice career unfortunately he's been hurt this year. That very good column by Bob blues kind of summed up Clinton very well just a great all around guy a great student and a guy who now that he's healthy again showing that he may be a big contributor a lot of ways before this season's over.

Love a guy like that loving man. Also do everything. Possible to get out on the field. When he got Wallach hit a little bit like Johnny boy every had hamstring injury that why got to figure out -- you something because -- T 340. And I'm not likely -- version yet the president -- here so what does he do. After a year or so ago of a -- imposing -- an album out season. And scenes that I got this thing could help somehow brought me -- yourself it's doctors have coaching staff can. What about your business every day setting an example for others even when you're not playing your skill into he's still -- part of the team and each one of their own way has set a great example for the younger guys on this yeah.

None of them -- the and question vocal leader but with ten of them with as many different styles than attitudes that they have.
